Shah Jahan III, also known as Mirza Muhi-ul-millat, was a Mughal Emperor, although his reign was exceptionally brief. He was the son of Muhi us-Sunnat, the eldest son of Muhammad Kam Bakhsh, who was in turn the youngest son of Emperor Aurangzeb.

In a period marked by the complexities of Mughal politics, Shah Jahan III was placed on the Mughal throne in December 1759 with the assistance of Imad-ul-Mulk. However, his rule was short-lived. He was later deposed by Mughal chiefs who acted in the name of the exiled Mughal Emperor Shah Alam II. Shah Jahan III's reign, though brief and largely forgotten in the grand scope of Mughal history, serves as a testament to the intricate power struggles that characterized the later years of the Mughal Empire.
